Llama Rescue Adventure Raffle
Reservations and Cancellations

Although our wilderness adventures are geared toward the participants' desired level of exertion, we ask that all participants be in good health. On most trips we will be hiking between 4 and 10 miles per day, with days just for relaxing around camp, at elevations over 8,000 feet. We suggest that participants stay in the area for a couple of days prior to the trip, in order to adjust to the altitude. We also recommend a regular exercise program (walking is o.k.) to make hiking in the mountains easier.

Reservations require a 50% deposit with the balance due 30 days prior to your trek. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance require full payment. We strongly advise making your reservations early in order to ensure the date(s) of your choice, as our llama trekking seasons fill up quickly! You may choose to sign up for one of our scheduled trips, or you may form your own groups and we'll design a wilderness experience to meet your needs.

Once reservations are made, each participant will receive an information packet containing a registration form, trip specifics, maps and directions, and a list of clothing and items to bring. A registration form must be filled out by each adult, with any accompanying minors using the same form.

The trip cost includes all meals from lunch on the first day, through lunch on the final day of your trek. Base camp gear, tents, and eating utensils are also provided. Sleeping bag and pad rentals are available upon request.

The unique part of our trips is the opportunity to hike with llamas. Each llama will be carrying about 80 pounds. This means we need to think about traveling light, as much as we do when we backpack. Due to restricted space on the llamas, each guest must limit their personal gear to a maximum of 15 pounds (plus sleeping bag and pad). We ask that participants carry a small day pack or fanny pack for rain gear, water, trail snacks, and a camera.

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to departure will result in a full refund, less a 25% cancellation/administrative fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to departure, "no shows", or upon withdrawal from any trip in progress.
